Just received my new Orvis Clearwater 13ft 7wt Spey rod and these are first impressions. It seems pretty well put together except the alignment dots are off a little on one section. Also for the price it bugs me that Orvis is too cheap to put a hook keeper on the Clearwater rods. I have a 10ft 8wt and like the way it casts and handles bigger streamers. I expect to enjoy using this on the Kenai River after I get it dialed in with the right line and tips. I will add to this review once I have had a chance to use it some.
