Very nice reel. Looks great, sounds great, and is very lightweight. Love the phenolic handle. However, the machining is a little sharper than I would like it to be. Great drag, but the drag knob is a little cheaper than I would like it to be. One of my favorite reels for the price. Significantly better than Sage Spectrum C, Spectrum, or Spectrum LT. I had in both 4/5 and 7/8 weights. Like others' have commented best reel for the money. I ultimately upgraded to the Lamson Lightspeed F in 3+ and 7+. Little smoother, little lighter. Again - excellent reel for the price. Nothing beats the handle in my opinion.

I own many Ross reels but have an affinity for the Animas. The build quality, porting and drag system are top notch for the price point. There are many competitors within the Animas price range but I haven't yet found an equivalent. You will not be disappointed with its performance. Kudos to ReelFlyRod for fast shipping!

This is an excellent reel in 4/5 that pairs perfectly with my Sage Sonic 4wt. Beautifully designed and made in the USA. The arbor size is small compared to other comparable options. What it lacks in arbor size is reconciled in sheer good looks. It’s a time tested reel that if taken care of will last a lifetime.

Got this reel for my Superfine Trout Bum in 4wt. Pictures online don’t do it justice. I’ve had a couple fish on it so far and Man is it nice. Reel Fly Rod was awesome as usual. Got a great deal with my Reel Cash points. Psyched. Thank you guys.

A picture of this reel simply doesn't show how amazing it is. The machining is absolutely fantastic. There is NO wobble in the spool at all. It is rock solid. The drag knob turns extremely easily, and the drag is very smooth.
I matched this reel (loaded with Orvis Hydros line it weighs only 5.5 oz) to my Redington Hydrogen 4wt 8ft6in rod, and it is truly unbelievably light.
I highly recommend this reel to anyone who is considering it. Just get it, you'll be happy. And, it's a Made in America product.
