This fly is one of the most effective dry fly patterns aialbe. It mimics a wide variety of insects, making it very tempting to tall types of trout. I recently had success on this fly while fishing western NC, where I caught rainbows, browns, and brookies on this pattern. Most importantly, this fly is extremely easy to see in the water, making it easier to see stories and set the hook.
