Read the reviews I could find, became obsessed with getting one, but it was Jake's review that made me pull the trigger. Got it for the bass in my area. Hoping to take it down to the gulf coast area later this year. Love the rod, and love the tube it came in. Glad the tube wasn't one of those basic cordura tubes.

This rod is definitely fast for glass. It can handle a full intermediate line while fishing for stripers and its just as adept chasing freshwater species. The sensitivity is great also. If you are looking for a fantastic all around glass rod for fresh and saltwater look no further!

Super cool looking rod, its like wielding a lightsaber. I love glass rods and this one is perfect for bass and northern pike in my area. I tested it on my 2 lines, 1st my rio small mouth bass line and 2nd my rio full sink wf. They make the claim it's "glass fast" and that's defiantly true. It's faster than my other glass rods and I had to adapt to that. Did great with both lines, It did really well with my full sinking line, I was quite impressed. Happy with this rod, would recommend it.

Bought this rod to use primarily on small creeks and rivers for smallmouth. Loads and casts large streamers with SA Mastery MPX line very well with minimal back-casting. The "fast glass" action gives it a nice, sensitive feel when casting that also feels stable and strong when fighting fish. The blue blank looks very sharp and is a nice change of pace compared to more traditional looks. If you are thinking about mixing it up and trying something new when targeting larger fish, I would definitely recommend the BAG line-up from Echo.
