Echo Bravo Lite Fly Reels are built around a proven carbon stacked disc drag system. Then Echo cut, shaved, and overhauled the core of the reel until they could shoehorn a robust four-layer carbon fiber disc drag system in the hub of the reel. The Echo Bravo LT 4/5 Reel is the perfect choice for any 4 or 5wt rod targeting panfish and trout.
This new design includes sealed O-rings to keep water and dirt from entering the guts of the reel, for smooth, reliable performance. The design allows a person to not only change the retrieve from left to right without tools, but also completely disassemble the drag and service it and put it back together quickly. The Echo Bravo LT reel is a soilid and dependable reel. This model is especially effective for fishing for trout and other smaller freshwater fish. I used this reel out west, and had great success when I paired this reel with the Echo 3 rod. The drag is more than enough to stop any freshwater fish.

This reel does all I need it to do for a 4wt set up for a great price. The drag feels smooth and like it could handle anything you'd go after with a 4wt, however I find the drag knob slightly difficult to adjust. The reel also looks great! Overall I think one of the best reels you could buy in this range.

Bought it on sale and in the end, I have a favorable impression of this reel. It does exactly what I ask of it; hang out on the end of my 18 year old Echo fly rod and hold my line. Plus, it looks pretty darn good doing it. I haven't dropped it yet, so I can't attest to the strength of the castings. I haven't caught a fish on it large enough to bother with the drag, but it certainly seems smooth enough with low to little start-up inertia. It's also free of run on, which some reels at this price point can suffer from. The only downside to this reel is it's a little too quiet for me. I love that sensation and that sound of a good reel when pulling line and on the retrieve. This reel is just smooth and quiet. Some people will view that as a positive. But hey, I'm also the guy who doesn't mind the noise from my $120 textured fly lines. So there's that.....

Not heavy for being a cast reel. The drag is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. Easy to disassemble and clean. Fast delivery.
