I use this for a small pair of hemos and love it. I don't use them a whole lot but when I need them the stretchy retractor is handy!

Very practical and well made product, but definitely more expensive than similar products.

I like this retractor over the SIMMS, better built and a better company.

This is a great addition to any pack.

Just purchased the Summit Sling 2.0 and thought I would add one of these on the shoulder strap. I like how it attaches with a push pin type release. This seems equivalent to others out there on the market with the same retractor style. The jury is still out on this one but I think I'm going to like the Arrowhead better.

As typical with Fishpond gear, these retractors are well made and will likely last for years. That's why I'm giving them 2 stars. That said, I do not like these retractors. They take up much more vertical length than traditional zingers and cannot carry as much weight as the traditional Fishpond zinger. The cord will not retract unless you help it back into its cylinder. Every item i've attached to these retractors pulls the line out throughout the day on its own while you're walking/wading. you end up with a bunch of tools hanging 6"-18" down from the retractor. I'll keep purchasing Fishpond gear. just not these.

it isn't the same quality as the FP Arrowhead. It is sleek, finish is killer, but my Simms Guide nippers live on my arrowhead...less expensive gear on this one.

I've owned numerous varieties of retractors in my day. Most break within a couple of seasons, especially the zinger style. Not sure how long I have had my Fishpond retractor, at least a couple of years, but it's in just as good of condition as it was the day I bought it. Highly recommend this product!
