NEW! LAMSON LITESPEED M8 FLY REEL 7-8WT
New for 2021, The highly anticipated Lamson Litespeed Saltwater fly reel. Designed to be the lightest reel with the faster retrieval rate, while incorporating a pure waterproof bearing design and durable CNC frame and spool. The Litespeed M8 is equipped with a hybrid drag system, sharing some elements of the Cobalt drag – fixed spindle, large heat wicking conical surfaces, click stop drag knob. The Litepseed M8 incorporates close tolerance composite bearings, and comes equipped with the same linear spring set found on Litespeed F series reels. Like the Lamson Cobalt reel, it holds an IPX8 waterproof rating to 100 ft. Litespeed M frames and spools focus on a greater stiffness and stability. The performance benchmark for a fly reel is retrieve rate per ounce. Manufactured in the U.S.A. and assembled in Boise, Idaho.

Solid drag for such a lightweight reel. Perfect for stripers, blues, and albies in the north east. Low to no maintenance due to sealed drag system

This reel is incredibly light which makes a huge difference by the end of a long day. It has amazing line pick up which can be of benefit to some. The drag is very smooth and reasonably strong. I fish salt and migratory fish species in Australia and BC the drag has stood up to see run char, salmon, steelhead and a variety of light warm water species (Sadly I have yet to test it on a decent size trevially)
