Loon Ergo Bobbin Threader

If you are starting out fly tying you need a bobbin threader. Saves so much time and frustration.

I am glad they made this bobbin threader longer than the original one I had that didn't fit the Loon Bobbin very well. Makes it where you can quickly change out thread without issues

Absolute must for fly tier's. I love it that its long and it works like all loon products very well. been using it for while now and it holds up!

The threader is quite good, but it doesn't really work for bobbins with a small hole.

I must admit, this was the second Threader I purchased. Yes, I tried to cheap out and get one from the Big Jungle store but, as is almost always the case with Fly fishing equipment purchased from them, it was junk and it was too short to use on any of my 4 bobbins INCLUDING the one they sold me as part of the package with the threader! Go figure... This Loon threader is very long and will thread everything I have on my bench. It was reasonably priced and the thick colored handle makes it easy to use and find on the bench. The quality seems decent. The only drawback for me is the oval handle makes it difficult to store on my Fly tying bench. I have slots for bobbins and threaders but the handle on this is too thick. It must be hanged facing down and I think it's 6 inches long. The bottom line is, it does the job, good quality, and reasonably priced. I would buy it again.

You really do need to purchase this if you also picked up the Loon Core Fly Tying Kit. The bobbin is a bit longer than most and you will need the extra length on this threader.

I won't say this bobbin threader is better than any other. After all, they are all pretty much the same. But I can't tell you how many times, when my thread has broken and I'm holding on to five things at once, I've been grateful to be able to find that big, bulbous yellow handle quickly and easily.

Yeah, I know ... how great can a bobbin threader be? But this one really does the job, and its bright yellow ergonomic handle makes this annoying task just a bit more easy. Dare I say I almost enjoy it? All this, and it comes with the great Loon quality. If you need a bobbin threader, splurge a few more bucks and get this one. You won't be disappointed.
