LOON FLY DIP
We have tried a lot of dip floatants and love what they do to flies. What we don't love is how they smell, how flammable they are, and how inconsistent they are with our priority to make products that are safe for fish and fisheries. Keeping a dry fly from sinking is a key challenge in a fast-moving water, like mountain streams, runs in a river, and more. If you are tired of applying a floatant gel every few casting, this is the product you want to try. Fly Dip certainly saves your time and let you focus on fly presentation and line mending. One downside is that it makes your fly white-coated, which may not be ideal when matching color is critical. One tip for this problem: tap off excess when taking out a fly out of it and dry for 30 sec or so. Unlike some said, it doe not last for a day.
