Loon UV Fly Tying Kit 1/2 oz

The guys in the shop recommended this set a little while ago, and I’m delighted I took their advice. I’ve used plenty of other cheaper stuff before, assuming all UV finishes were pretty much the same. Well, I was wrong. The Loon kit works perfectly and stands up to plenty of abuse in the water, including salt. The finishes set up *instantly* with the UV light, and remains crystal clear. The flow finish is great for holding complex fly tying stages in place without adding any bulk, and the thin will become your default finish for most flies. The thick is excellent for bead-heads. I know it’s expensive, but it’s honestly worth it.

Loon makes one of the best uv on the market. What I use in 95%of my flies.

Very easy to use with lots of attachments and nice rubber caps. This kit has all you could need for quickly tying flies with UV.

This is the first time for me using any UV type resin. It is great. The thick is really thick and does not flow much at all. The thin flows and will run. To beef up some of the heads on the clouser minnows I used it. Fantastic results. The thick was a bit too thick but the thin was about right for my purposes. The light was great. The resin hardens in seconds. Highly recommended!

This was the first UV I've ever used. I love it! Use it on almost all my flies. Makes them pretty much bulletproof.

Have enjoyed the switch from head cement to this stuff, but my primary use has been on nymph bodies. It really gives them a professional appearance. Dries in seconds with the UV light (as you expect). If at high elevations, expect there to be some overflow when you first open the bottles LOL.

Quality resins and light. Really cleans up the heads of streamers and gives a unique texture to nymphs. I can't wait to see what other uses I can find.

Light as many say is superior in quality. The overall kit has all the essentials and opened me up to tying some flies that I stayed away from in the past.

The Loon UV works great and it cures the glue very fast! The package also comes with different applicators wich is very nice! I am glad that I have purchased this set.
