AIRFLO SUPERFLO UNIVERSAL TAPER FLY LINE
The Universal Taper's moderate taper can change from dry fly fishing to
nymphing to light streamers and fish extremely effectively. This taper
style also lends itself to easy casting for the widest range of casting
styles. The SuperFlo Universal Taper is as close to a “one size fits
all” as you can get in a freshwater line. With a great all round taper and wide range of applications, it loads at
short range and the longer rear taper provides multiple pick up points. Casts a gigantic range of fly sizes and patterns. The Haul zone extends the usable head length and the ultra-thin running line shoots like hell and takes up less
spool space. Who says the proverbial jack of all trades is always a master of none? This line does it all - and beautifully so, at that
Airflo
is the only company that extrudes Polyurethane as a super tough coating
on their fly lines. With the inclusion of the new “FLO” technology, they
are able to produce a line that has running lines slimmer in diameter
than previous technologies, without any of the durability issues
associated with PVC. The end result is a fly line that is supercharged
throughout the entire line. Helping it glide through the guides with
minimal friction. SuperFlo lines have all the handling attributes and
durability of the best fly lines in the world!

I typically have gone with Rio or SA, but our Master CCI at our local casting pond recommended going with the Airflo SuperFlo Universal Taper on a setup for my daughter, 9' 5wt Echo Trout X with a Guru S -5+. First time out at our casting pond and this set up casts like a dream. The line is very slick and goes trough the guides effortlessly. I switched up reels with a Guru S -5+ I have loaded with RIO Gold Elite and could hardly tell the difference. I'll be trying other Airflo lines in the future.

I really like this line a lot! It is very slick and stays slick, even when fished for several days without cleaning. It is also very durable, lasting longer than lines by other manufacturers. I am using it on a Hardy Zephrus Ultralite 3wt and it matches the rod very well.

I've historically stuck to lines I've known well, Rio, SA, Orvis. But this time around I gave the Airflo Superflo universal taper WF7F a chance, and I'm glad I did. I took this line out casting today, and it was a blast to cast it with my Fenwick FF85 (roughly a 7/8 weight rod, 4 1/8 oz fiberglass). It shoots well, and loads the rod decently for shorter distance casts (20'-25') relatively well. I also love that they're remain focused on the environmental impact of the lines we put in the water over and over again.

This is my second purchase of an airflo line. It's OK but overall I am not sold on staying with airflo and just went back to rio gold to try that again.

Feels a lot like a Rio gold or SA MPX but seems more durable. Deet is no problem which is huge during black fly season.

This line casts very nicely. Very smooth and slick feel. Much less drag through the guides compared to other lines. Using on a Hardy Zephrus Ultralight 3wt. Very good match for the rod.

Feels good and casts great. Better for the environment too. Airflo is really on the leading edge of fly line technology.

I've only fished this line about 8 times as I just got it but I'm pretty pleased so far. I have only nymph fished with it but it seems to cast well and fit my needs.
