What a great little rod. Perfect for packing in a bag and hitting small streams. The price point is great. Not super worried about being out a bunch of money if something happens to it while trekking out in the wilderness. And the replacement tips are super affordable as well.

Super fun rod for throwing the small stuff. Makes big bluegill feel like steelhead! I am a fan and the price is perfect for a specialty rod.

Ordered this one to take to Townsend. Paired with a cheapy Ion reel and SA Amplitude Smooth Infinity. Casts dries and dry-droppers, no issues. Clay from RFR helped me pair the line with the rod. I couldn't be happier with how this outfit fished. I'll see how it fishes small indicator rigs next weekend. 10 outta 10, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a small stream rod and they don't want to break the bank.

Wanted a shorter, lighter weight fly rod for fishing skinny tout streams in the Driftless region of Wisconsin and this rod did not disappoint! Handled a 13” brown trout without issue. Looking forward to many more trips with it.

I was looking for a good, light weight, compact rod that would not break the bank. I have never owned a rod under a 5 wt and so getting a 3 wt was a step into the unknown. The price is right and so is the performance of this rod.
I paired this rod up with a SA MPX 3 wt line and a Redington Zero reel. Great budget set up.
The first place I fished this rod was a small pocket water creek in West Virginia. I threw everything from small dries, to size 10 terrestrials, and a few streamers. Didn't have much luck hooking into any fish at this location, but the castability of this rod is noteworthy. It had good feel and pointed perfectly. With the right leader, this rod turns over the terrestrials, including cicadas and hoppers. The MPX loads the rod well and makes it feel very intuitive.
Our trip took us to a second location in WV with some good size trout. The conventional wisdom at this location is to fish 7x with size 20 or smaller flies. I did, and that yielded my first fish of the weekend. Nice 12" or so rainbow that put a healthy bend in the rod. Beings that this is a lighter rod- it was refreshing to feel all the headshakes and pull of this fish. Lighter rods make the smaller fish fun. I think this rod is a hidden gem.
The next day I decided to defy conventional wisdom and bring a bit of the 2021 Midwest down to Appalachia by tying on a cicada pattern. I got 3 fish in an hours time. The 7'6" length of this rod made it easy to cast to individual trout I thought were more apt to take a cicada. Same thing happened the next day before we left.
This rod really is a gem and will most likely be kept in my family as a rod to teach friends and kids on as it loads so nicely. Well done Echo and thanks ReelFlyRod for such great service.

Good rod for the beginner, quality is there, 3wt 7’6” is light weight even against like rods, soft tip, power down low.
