NEW! ECHO SHADOW X 2100-4 FLY ROD : 2WT, 10'0"
Nymphing fly rods featuring sensitive tips and longer tapers are growing in popularity for trout anglers worldwide. Tim Rajeff and the Echo crew were on the forefront of this movement with the production of the Shadow nymphing rods. After two generations, the Echo crew decided to build the best nymphing rod they could and keep it affordable to any angler. Working with veteran Euro Nymph guru Pete Erickson, 2018 fly fishing world champion Norm Maktima, and expert Mariusz Wrobewski, the Shadow X was designed and tested.
By using the most advanced high modulus graphite available to Echo, they were able to achieve the lightest rod they have ever produced. When you need to feel every nuance happening under the water, having the lightest, most sensitive rod you possibly can is the difference between 1st and 10th place. The 2wt is the lightest and most sensitive rod of this series. Perfect for the smaller streams and creeks, where the holes are deep and the elusive browns lay low. When compared to other nymphing rods on the market, you will not find a lighter or a more tip sensitive rod. The perfect rod to outfit with the newer Euro Nymphing Lines.

I love this rod. It's versatile with the ability to add weight to the butt so I can use it with different reels. It's very sensitive and light, and it also casts dries surprising well. Would recommend if you're considering a higher performance rod without wanting to spend $900. Lots of bang for your buck with this one.
