NEW! ECHO STILLWATER 6100-4 FLY ROD: 6WT 10' 4PC
The new Echo Stillwater fly rod series was built for those anglers who love the thrill of competition. This competition legal rod has changed the game when it comes to fishing all forms of still water. Offered in a 5wt 10' to a 7wt 10' (and one 10'6" 6wt), Echo has done a fantastic job of bringing you a rod that eliminates the variables.
The action of the Echo Stillwater Fly Rod is a wonderful medium-fast that finds the perfect balance between power and finesse. This rod provides enough backbone to punch through heavy winds that are all too common on open bodies of water yet retains enough finesse to delicately throw dries and NOT shut the whole lake down. The Echo Stillwater Rod blank features a matte grey finish and black single foot guides that reduce glare and therefore reduces spooked fish. A custom designed cork handle provides comfort and versatility while a removable fighting butt and weight rings let you cusomize the feel and balance of the rod. Each rod comes in a rod sock with a fiberglass rod tube and the Echo Lifetime Warranty. When you're on the water, the last thing you need to be doing is worring wheather your rod is the right tool for the job....The Echo Stillwater Fly Rod eliminates the variables and lets you focus on the fish.

This rod punches significantly above its weight class. I got this as a second 10' 6wt rod to use when I fish from my float tube and fish it with my main 10' 6wt 3F Helios. It's half the price of the helios it preforms similarly. I typically keep one rod with a floating line for suspending nymphs or pulling nymphs higher in the water column and then have a second rod with a 7-10' intermediate tip, or full intermediate line for buggers. This rod is incredibly light with the swing weight. I also got the echo lagos to compare these rods and the stillwater is what gets used due to a significantly lighter swing weight and casting ease. If you are debating between the lagos and the stillwater the stillwater is very much worth the extra money. Your shoulder will thank you after a day of long casts and retrieving flies.
