This is my go to pack when out for a half day of fishing or when I'm not too far from the car. It has plenty of room for a couple fly boxes and the net holder is perfect for my Nomad Canyon net.

Perfect for the essentials . Nice that it attaches to the backpacks

This bag is perfect for any small carry setup. It is well built and very purposeful. The net holster is not easy to use, but maybe I'll get better with more practice. The only things that could improve are to have a way to attach a small water bottle (maybe too much to ask for being a minimalist?) and to carry my Abel nipper better. The Hypalon is sewed too low. The Arrowhead just puts the nipper dangling below the bag vs. getting it cradled by the lower loop.

I love this pack and the best part is that it can attach to the Firehole backpack! Nice little bells and whistles too!

The Fishpond Canyon Creek Chest Pack is great for when the angler doesn’t want to carry all there gear, but still needs the basics accessible and stored in an effective manner. The options for storing accessories, such as tippet, nippers, and forceps, make this pack unique. Each has a designated area on the pack that is extremely easy to access. While storage is limited due to the small size of the pack, this can be a blessing because it forced the angler to only pack the most critical flies with them, thereby reducing weight. The net holder is the pack’s most unique feature. Both large and small nets fit comfortably in the holder and allow the angler to access them easily. Overall, this simplistic pack holds all the necessities without overburdening the angler.

Added this handy chest pack to my bag quiver last fall, and it has proved quite useful. No, it cannot hold multiple loaded spools, duplicate extras of everything, and every loaded fly box a hardcore guy might have, and it might not be enough to hold your supplies for a long, full day on unfamiliar water during an unfamiliar hatch... but it excels at those quick trips to the river when you know exactly what you want to have on hand and keep things simple and light. For me, this is like a "summit pack" that would be used during backpacking trips.
As the other reviewer states, the quality is typical Fishpond stuff, it'll hold a net, and has several external attachment points for nippers/hemostats, tippet etc.
I also appreciate that it rides so much higher and stays dry in deeper water compared to hip or sling packs.
I'm not sure how many people this applies to, but I specifically purchased this so that I can wear an osprey rear child carrier or larger backpack down to the river and still have my fishing stuff handy and accessible. (Being a daddy doesn't mean I have to stop fishing... just means I have to carry a lot more extra things than just the stuff I personally need!)

Typical Fishpond quality, which is to say excellent. Well built and sturdily constructed to handle hard use. Has a good amount of storage for large fly box, and has additional dividers for organization in the interior pocket. Handy outside slip pocket that will accommodate a large cell phone for fast access. Holds a net in the slot on the back, as well as having an attachment point for a net lanyard. Will easily carry everything you need for a day on the water without over packing and bringing every tool, fly box, or gadget that you have. Highly recommended.
