I have this line on 2 other fly reels and it is great.
Very controllable and roll cast or cast for distance.
Great with dry flies up to large streamers. Highly recommend

I have been fly fishing for 35 years and this is the first time I have tried Rio fly lines, so I didn't know what to expect. All I can say is Wow, this line is very impressive. I got the 5WT model and am using it on a medium fast action 9ft rod. This line is great with dry flies, as advertised. It loads well in close (10ft cast) and really comes into its own from 25ft on out to as far as you want to cast. It allows for excellent line control, and mends well. The line is very slick and shoots like a laser beam. I don't mean to sound like a Rio fan boy, but I am that impressed with the Rio line. It is by far the best line that I have ever cast on my 9ft medium fast rod.
Now for the surprising part. For an experiment I put on a size 10 jig hook streamer with a 4mm tungsten bead to see how the line would handle the weight. I was able to cast the weighted fly without problem. I was able to make 30 ft roll casts easily, and regular false casting was also without trouble. Throwing the weighted streamer 40 feet was no problem. For a line that is designed for dry fly precision this all around ability is a added bonus. Time will tell how durable the line will be, but for now I am very pleased.

Slick line through the guides. Nice feel on a mend or roll with ability for sweeping loop and light landings to the hole on the other bank.
