The SENSE 3wt 10'6" is our most popular euro length for anglers on medium to larger rivers with swifter currents, or while fishing out of a drift boat. The 10'6" length allows for extra length for high sticking, a more controlled mend especially at distances of of 30-40ft, and accurately delivers pinpoint roll casts. The detailed design in the softer rod tip taper greatly increases sensitivity in fish detection while providing a shock absorber to prevent rod tip bounce when setting the hook. Moving down the blank, the soft tip gives way to a stout butt section allowing anglers to fight and control fish with quick hooksets and minimal recoil, keeping the line tight throughout the entire fight, with plenty of backbone to muscle the mightiest of trout to the net.
Along with the specially designed blank, the SENSE also features components and cosmetics dialed to the application. Single foot guides allow for a lighter more sensitive package, while optimally positioned stripper guide keeps line tighter to the hand and blank, preventing unnecessary snagging and increased control. Matte black down-locking reel seat delivers an even balance while shifting reel weight further to the rear. Additionally, “Stealth Grey” blank color and tonal cosmetics provide added low glare camo in approaching spooky pools and pockets.
