Cutting edge Centric series fly rods deliver new levels of stability, recovery speed, and range, while giving anglers tons of feedback through the easy flexing tip sections and highly transmissive blanks.
These are the most efficient rods Scott has ever created. Flat, stable, high line speed loops are easily generated at any distance with minimal effort from the caster.
For anglers of any skill level, these rods feel very light in the hand, are insanely accurate, and are simply a joy to fish at any distance.
Ease of roll casts and mends is next level. The ability to control loop shape and line speed at any distance give anglers wide-ranging versatility. Centric rods combine new tapers and multi-modulus lay ups with a new resin system to increase fiber density and reduce weight, and they feature our new generation ARC reinforcement for greater stability along multiple axes. New custom rolling equipment allows us to control fiber placement and density with new levels of precision. And just to top it all off, we designed new standard-setting componentry for Centric rods that redefine functionality, durability, and beauty.
Scott Centric rods are fit with Flor grade cork, new titanium stripping guides with super slick zirconia inserts, new low glare Snakebrand Universal snake guides, and a new fully milled reel seat featuring speed threads, easy grip knurling, self-indexing hoods, micarta inserts, a special Delrin lock washer, and type 3 flat black hard coat.
Centric rods are available in models ranging from 8.5’ to 10.0,’ in line weights 4 to 7. All Centric rods are 4 pieces and come in an embroidered cloth bag and premium aluminum rod tube. Scott Centric rods are handcrafted in the USA from the finest materials.

The action and overall feel of this rod is absolutely amazing. Shoots line with ease and is silky smooth. I've owned cheaper rods that I've been happy with but the looks and performance of the Scott Centric rod is a combination that can't be beat. This will not be last Scott rod.

This is the best 5wt for throwing everything from small dries to large streamers. Took this rod to the Madison river and it fished the ti y spring creeks just as well as it fished the large wide open Madison. Highly recommend this rod.

this is the absolute Best fly rod I have ever not only cast but owned. The warranty is the best. I have broken the tip twice by my own carelessness. I can't believe the strength of the rod. I have fought and landed two trout over 9 lbs. no problems. I love the rod period.

I have used Scott rods for years and the new Centric 9 ft. 5 wt. is the best ever of all I have tried. Broke the tip[ my fault] sent it in and they replaced it with only shipping cost. I have used Reelflyrod and they are the greatest people and Scott can't be beat. I will not purchase any other fly rod.

I was looking to upgrade to a higher end 5wt rod from my TFO TiCrx. On my list of rods to consider was the NRX Plus, NRX Plus LP, and then I came across the Centric. Never even had Scott rods on my radar. After extensive reviews and videos, I decided that I was going to give the nod to the Scott Centric. Once receiving, I noticed that everything about this rod exemplifies excellent craftsmanship. The lightweight construction, high end guides, well crafted handle, and reel seat are all a thing of beauty. I fish all over Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. I've only got one trip on this rod so far, but was able to put it to the test. It was a cold late fall day with wind blowing. Casting this rod was on par with expectations, I'm sure I will like it more when I am casting to the opposite bank in the future. What stood out was how well it mended, and stripped line out on the drift. These qualities really stood out from what I was used to. As far as the fast action, I really enjoyed the quick hook set and did not notice any negatives compared to what I was used to. Or at least that was what I could tell from my pontoon float tube.
The rod handled a number of big bows on a size 20 midge with ease. Landed a 21" bow and was really impressed at how this rod combined with my Ross Evolution LTX reel worked big fish to perfection. Excited for many more fun adventures with my new 5wt setup.
