My first fly rod so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I know quality when I see and feel it. An experienced fisherman recommended it and I’m glad he did. Been practicing my casts on a pond for about a month and usually catch some 2-3lb channel cats. Pretty fun. No trout fishing yet. Maybe this fall. All I know is this combo looks and feels great and I love the Orvis warranty.
