I have not actually put it in use, but it is exactly what I was looking for. There are times that while wading, I catch fish every or every other cast. It become a hassle to pull the net out and put it back to my Fishpond back net hoister. I will let my net float in the water using this tether for this type of situations. It has good return rate with length locking. Perfect!

Having lost multiple nets utilizing the magnet & lanyard system. This has been a large improvement. Strong lanyard, strong retract, and good length. Now it’s nothing but net, every time I need it.

If you're not using a retractor for your net, why aren't you? I don't enjoy leaving it creekside and walking back for it. And I've picked up 6 other people's net's since owning. So buy one!

As I've gotten older, putting my net back in position using magnets is becoming more of a pain. This retractor is the answer.

This Orvis retractor is manifest, I always know where my net is, it is always right there and ready to catch the next fish, it has the perfect length, with brake or retractable, it is as simple as releasing the net and it returns to its original position to use it in the next capture.
100% recommended, every fisherman should have it.

This retractor works great with a Fishpond hand net. This is my second Orvis net retractor, the other is almost 15 years old and still going.
