ORVIS SUPERFINE GLASS 866-4 FLY ROD: 6WT, 8'6"
The all new Orvis Superfine Glass fly rod series features a new and improved fiberglass S-2 blank construction designed to deliver flies at close range with the traditional deep bend feel. The new S-2 fiberglass improves the side to side torsional stability of the blank while loading the rod. This aids in a more accurate and crisper cast. Fiberglass fly rods are about feel, accurate casting, and that classic bend, and the Superfine Glass delivers these all perfectly. The soft tip section was designed as a shock absorber for larger fish on light tippet and leader. This 6wt 8'6" is ideal rod for smallmouth or larger river trout angler. The 6wt is able to handle larger streamers, bigger stimulator patterns, and nymph rigs all in one. This is our favorite rod model of the series for our smallmouth in the Midwest. Superfine Glass fiberglass fly rods allow you to deliver the fly line with great delicacy and fight fish with fine tippets.
