The all new Orvis Superfine Glass fly rod series features a new and improved fiberglass S-2 blank construction designed to deliver flies at close range with the traditional deep bend feel. The new S-2 fiberglass improves the side to side torsional stability of the blank while loading the rod. This aids in a more accurate and crisper cast. Fiberglass fly rods are about feel, accurate casting, and that classic bend, and the Superfine Glass delivers these all perfectly. The soft tip section was designed as a shock absorber for larger fish on light tippet and leader. This 8wt 8'8" is ideal rod for the light saltwater species including snook, bonefish, and redfish, but will handle pike, carp, and largemouth with ease. A wonderful streamer type style of fiberglass rod. Superfine Glass fiberglass fly rods allow you to deliver the fly line with great delicacy and fight fish with fine tippets.
