The Sage R8 6wt 9'6" is the perfect all-around trout and bass rod for rivers and lakes. The Sage R8 6wt 9'6" is the best tool for larger rivers, larger nymph rigs, or streamer fishing. The 9'6" is perfect if you are going to do any dry fly, high sticking, nymphing, or longer distance casting. The 6wt 9'6" is a perfect all-around versatile model that will allow you to dry fly, nymph, or throw chunky streamers on wider bodies of water. The extra length makes gaining distance, mending line, and a longer reach much easier to achieve.

The R8 Core features a new pattern of woven carbon fiber that allowed Sage to impart more of their proprietary resin into the blank. The result of this new pattern means that the rod is stronger farther up the blank than competitors. The combination of the new carbon fiber pattern and more resin makes the rod incredibly light in hand while not sacrificing any strength in the top 1/3rd of the rod. The new Revolution 8 Technology makes the R8 one of the most technologically advanced rods on the market. The R8 is finished with a dark olive blank, grey primary guide wraps with a handsome gradient grey-to-white tipping.
