The legendary Hardy lightweight reel series is reissued for the 2022 season. The Hardy's Brothers 150 Anniversary LW reels are custom CNC machined out of pure bar stock aluminum. The 150ANV St. Andrew reel features the simple yet durable click and pawl drag system and the classic nickel silver double screw line guide for line protection. First designed in the 70's, the lightweight series reels represent the passion, craftsmanship, and longevity of the Hardy brand. The line guard is marked with an engraved commemorative tag dating of 1872-2022. These classic lightweight reels also feature a full cage design to eliminate line jumping off the spool.
The St. Andrew series reel is the sought after spey version of this lightweight series. Designed with a wider spool, the St. Andrew is lighter than the Hardy Perfect, allowing a lighter spey setup. We would recommend a switch or spey setup in the 7-9wt. The one thing with the lightweight series is the more the drag is used, the smoother and better sounding the reel performs! Last, a collectible reel leather pouch is included to make the Brothers 150 Anniversary Flyweight reel a true one of a kind reel.
