When most reel series jump from 3-4 weights to 5-6 weights, this 4-5 weight balances perfectly with that longer lightweight rod you'd love to use but feels too heavy in your hand. There is plenty of stopping power in Sage's SCS drag for large trout but the 4/5 remains light enough to virtually disappear once it is rigged and on the water.
