The GRANDE reel is a fully anodized, machined aluminum reel that features our new sealed SUPER-TORQUE carbon drag system that will KO any fish you hook. After years of field testing, Redington bulked up the GRANDE with an oversized palming rim, increased backing capacity, and designed an easy to locate handle and drag knob so you can make quick adjustments in the heat of the battle. Never stand down from a fight, regardless of the opponent. The GRANDE 7/8/9 will stop any bone, permit, or snook on any flat.

Got the 7/8/9 for bonefish, redfish, seat trout, etc. Super reel at this price range. The sealed drag is smooth and strong and the marine anodized finish is really nice. I’m not a guide so this reel is all I will ever need for inshore saltwater. Looking at getting a matching 9/10/11 for my 10 wt.

Great Budget Reel for light saltware and inshore fishing. I use this as my all around rod for medium size fish.
