I bought the 7-9 wt champagne color. I always have a spare spool. I have both 8 wt and 9wt rods for salt and salmon fishing. One spool I use for 8wt and the reel spool I use for 9wt. Holds plenty of backing and looks great. The only thing I would change and why I deducted one star is the spool comes with a cloth bag to store it. I have other brands where the spools come with a nice neoprene case. The bag is kind of weak.

SO glad I got this spare spool for my Grande. Gave me good options for lines in diverse environments and for different sink speeds. I always get a spare spool for my reels. This spool fit flawlessly into my reel, had a nice finish with no damages, rotated cleanly within the reel frame and had good tolerances.
