So far this reel has treated me well on smaller water. The drag adjustment is easy. I have only used it for a number of hours out, but it will be my backup/small stream set up!

Overall the Redington ID is performs well and is a good reel. That being said, I was a bit shocked by how heavy it is for a 3wt reel. This is my fault for not having read the specs more closely, but for the price I've wishing I would have instead gone for the Redington Zero. It would have balanced my 3wt Butterstick much better.

I ordered this reel with the backing and line. I accidentally ordered the wrong size line. I emailed ReelFlyReel and they were quick to help and fixed the problem in under a week. The reel itself has worked great with my reddington 4wt trout rod. After a few casts, I was able to dial in my casts get pretty damn close to my targets. The drag feels a bit over built for a 4wt, but no complaints there. The ability to add a decal is a nice touch, just wish more decals were available.

I've only had a chance to use the reel once so far and it was a pleasure. It functioned smoothly and the drag was easily adjusted. I also like it's appearance.

For a $90, it does pretty good. The reel is a little tight but after using it a few times, it becomes smoother.
