I like the box. It has proven itself by surviving river falls, bobbing through rapids then be calmly scooped in the following pool spinning in an eddy current.
I dislike the size. It is a little thick for a pocket and a little small to hold a good diversity of small streamers and hoppers.
I do recommend the other sizes for quality budget boxes

Use these for nymphs. Foam inserts hold well and the double-sidedness is great to maximize the amount of flies you bring. Easy to dry out flies afterwards too.

I tried one of the RFR fly boxes a few months ago and I was so impressed that I have begun to replace all my field boxes with these. I have both the small and medium sizes and they are perfect for taking on the water. The value for money is outstanding! I do like the double sided mechanism and they have been great for both fresh and saltwater flies. The smaller size is ideal for nymphs, midges, dries, etc., while the medium can take pretty much everything you want to throw at it. I use the medium for streamers, attractors, terrestrials, and also for saltwater snook flies. Perfect!

Waterproof, drop proof... maybe bomb proof? Tough box for holding flies. Overbuilt, strong, I like it. Would recommend.

This fly box is good for little stuff like dries and nymphs. I bought this and I was able to fit a lot of flies. Nice box!
