Renzetti Visual Enhancement Backdrop

The Renzetti Backdrop is perfect for my Traveler 2300. My fly tying bench presents a pretty dark background, so I needed something to enhance the contrast of the hooks and hackles and threads. This was just the ticket. I received the backdrop today and have loved it from the first tied fly this evening.

This profile plate has a light-blue and a gray side. It fits well together with the bobbin cradle on my Renzetti Traveler. While this makes tying easier I'm not convinced it is worth the cost. Quite flimsy with a lot of tricky adjustment knobs. I find myself having to adjust it almost every time I sit down to tie. And the packaging isn't great so the light-blue side was scratched when I got it. The metal parts slide around in the package and there is nothing to protect the plate from scratches.

I could not be happier with my purchase of this item from ReelFlyRod. The selection they have and the gentleman at this shop are the best out there in my humble opinion. This has become my first stop shop location.
