Works even better when you cut the line at the color change and tie together to create tag lines that stick out the side.

This is the best sighter material I've found so far for Euro Nymphing. It is easy to see (adding tags at the blood knot helps as well), and holds a knot well. Tie on a tippet ring on one end and your fly line/mono line of choice to the other, and you're set.

Increase viz some more. Cut line at color change and use blood knots and leave about 1+ inch of the Irish pennant at 90 degrees. In high wind this might not be a good idea.

I like this stuff. I find it easyish to see. Rio makes a new black and white line that I have yet to try. I use this when euro nymphing. I put a tippet ring at the end and then usually attach 4x-5x tippet to it.
