RIO AVID 24FT SINK TIP FLY LINE 300GR
RIO’s Avid series of sink tip fly lines were developed for the keen fly fisher with tapers and technology that enhance the fly fishing experience. The lines have a 24ft long sink tip, and are designed for easy casting performance, with slightly heavier and shorter head lengths. Each line is built on a supple memory-free core, and has a super slick coating for easy distance.

The lines are sold in "grain" weights, and we recommend the following conversion to appropriate rod sizes:
150gr = 5wt
200gr = 6wt
250gr = 7wt
300gr = 8wt
350gr = 9wt

Awesome line for the price (especially when it is on sale). Perfect for throwing larger streamers while wading. Easily turns over large articulated streamers with great accuracy.

I bought this for streamers and I really like it, the 300 grain really gets deep quick which it what I wanted. Just for informational purposes, as a relatively new fly fisherman in the last few years, you do have to get used to casting as the sinking lines drag a lot more and are more challenging. Roll casting or reeling it in a bit then letting it rip works though once you get the hang of it. 24ft of sink tip seems like a good amount for me for streamers.
