I use 16lbs for stripers, bluefish, and albies on the East Coast. Works perfectly fine. Add wire for bluefish ;-)

Already had multiple sizes for redfish but just picked up the 30lb for a light shock tippet for Mosquito Lagoon trout and snook. Really cannot go wrong with Rio. The fluorocarbon is good for knot tying (even with 30lb I had no difficulty tying a loop knot) and it is very strong. Most importantly it is durable. There has been a lot of teeth grinding down on the tippet and yet it still stayed strong after many fish. Will probably not change from Rio ever.

Fished this tippet to Permit last month down in Mexico. Worked great. Caught plenty of permit and 20lb tippet never failed. Rio is really the best when it comes to tippet.

Just used the 16lb tipped paired with the 10ft 20lb mono Rio mono leader for fishing Mosquito Lagoon this past week. Honestly, Rio is by far my favorite tippet. This is my first time buying their saltwater tippet as I normally freshwater fish, but I cannot be happier. The tippet held up great to trees, brush, grass, trout teeth, snook, flounder, biggish Reds, and even a Ray. Very little fray, even with the trout teeth and the wear from the snook. I tied it directly to mono with no issues, tied it to a wire bite and tied it to a small piece of 40lb shock tippet all with no issues or knot failure. Rio is the only product I use.

Put this stuff to the test against some False Albacore in New England, and it passed with flying colors. Easy to handle, great suppleness, and ties knots beautifully. I won't use anything but florocarbon when targeting hardtails, and Rio's Floroflex is first on my list.
