RIO’S
Steelhead/Salmon Leaders are designed and built to match the needs of
the steelhead and salmon fly fisher. The leaders are made of a medium
stiff nylon and have a powerful taper design that easily turns over
larger flies, and cope with tough winds. The copolymer material is
incredibly tough and highly abrasion resistant. RIO has changed
this material to a glacial green color to better blend into the water.

I use these Rio Steelhead Leaders because I can get them in 12 foot length and I use them in New Zealand for Brown trout fishing. These Browns are huge and require an extra long leader so that the fish do not spook. We are also casting large flys and these leaders do a wonderful job of turning over these large flys.

I use Rio leaders for Great Lakes steelhead fishing. They are strong and abrasion resistant which is a must when bouncing bottom. I would recommend them.
