Ideal for salmon, steelhead and speyMedium stiff tippet – ideal for salmon, steelhead and spey. For 2016 RIO has changed this material to a glacial green color to better blend into the water. If you were a fan of the Maxima Line, the Rio Steelhead/Salmon will have the same color, but more tensile strength to land larger fish.

Used this tippet 16lb for some pond carp. Tippet blended in and did not spook the carp which are usually quite picky. Have never been disappointed with any Rio tippet.
