Does the job. I like to cut mine back a bit and make a perfection loop in both ends then join them together. Makes the leader last longer since you can just add tippet without cutting back the butt section.

The Rio Striped Bass leader is perfect for most inshore applications. It can cast heavy and wind-resistant flies with no issue. Just be careful when fishing for species that can bite though line, such as bluefish.

I have experience with this leader before and bought it again. That tells all. Very durable, resistant and catches good fish size~~!

Great leader and for the price, it can't be beat.

this is a great leader, turns over larger and heavier flies and casts well into wind. People often overlook using tapered leader for striper fishing but this really helps in the wind

Used this leader for the first time 2 weeks ago with the rio saltwater line. Worked great, fair priced and it caught fish.

Very durable, stout and strong at 7ft for the 16lb. Capable of turning over large saltwater flies in the breeze. Would recommend!
