RS2 BLACK EMERGER
Midges are a common term used to describe any small fly but is more accurately used to refer to several types of specific types of two winged aquatic insects. Midges tend to be very small and are fished either as a dry fly or subsurface as a nymph. Emerger flies represent a stage in an insect’s life that is between the nymph and adult stages. During this stage the insect is emerging from the bottom to the water surface. Both midges and emergers are very effective patters used anywhere trout lie from lakes to rivers, big and small.
