This was a great purchase. Turns over a large popper and even after a little shredding it still held up.

Paired this tapered bass leader with some SA stealth green 3x tippet (separate review) for the 7ac pond behind my house...turned the cone heads over with ease on my 6wt ZXL with SA Titan WF6F line. A blast to fish...able to shoot the streamers across the pond with one or 2 dbl hauls...counted them down and then erratically stripped across the pond for the fun to begin. Also able to flip cast under overhanging branches and strip out. Couldn't stand waiting another year to the next mountain trip...had to to do some flat land slingin'... a blast to fish and highly recommended.

I'm an avid Texas river fly angler for bass and use heavy, aggressive fly lines to toss streamers and poppers on my 6wt. I struggled a little using tapered nylon leaders, even at 1X as they don't have the butt strength needed for those kind of flies. I also am not super into tying my own leaders, so I wanted to find something off the shelf that got the job done. This leader is exactly what I was looking for. It's well designed with the stiffness needed in the butt section to help turnover those bigger, more air resistant flies. I couldn't be happier.
