After owning using the G4s this past season, I decided I wanted to try a lighter wading boot. So far so good….lighter weight and holding up well!

Great pair of lightweight boots. Wore them all day and no discomfort at all. I also purchased the Hardbite studs for the Vibram sole, but wished these boots could use the heavier duty cleats that work on the G3/G4 boots.

I have had these boots for 2 years, they're starting to wear around the toe area, and one set of eyelets has broken. But they're an outstanding boot and I'm sure Simms would do their best to help with any repairs needed.

Used these for 6 hours fishing both next to a large river and a small freestone creek. First, these boots are great for boulder hopping and handle drainage super well. In terms of traction (without studs), they're definitely not as good as felt or other options (bars, hexes). They're very lightweight though and I plan to use them on trips that have a walkable trail or bank. I imagine with studs they'll be comparable to other studded rubber. Overall recommend if looking for a lightweight boot option.
