Simms Freestone Boot has a proven record of durability and traction in rocky rivers around the world. It provides the support underfoot and at the ankle for negotiating slick, unseen river bottoms. The synthetic uppers take the abuse of brush, rock and water in stride, while a cushioned midsole and partial neoprene lining provide all-day cushioning and warmth. To allow proper room for the neoprene stockingfoot, find your regular shoe size in the right-hand columns and order the corresponding Simms Boot in the first column. This will typically be one size up from your normal shoe size for men and one size down for women (ie: a women's USA size 8 would take a men's boot size 7).
(Simms Boot size 5 will fit a Youth Size 4, etc.)

I have had these boots for a year now and they are top notch. A solid upgrade from my previous non-Simms boots. I chose to stud mine and they provide great support and comfort all day.

I had been wearing my old running shoes over my waders. I couldn't believe the difference in stability and traction that these boots made. I feel much more confident in my footing and ability to navigate the water with these on. Excellent product and should last for years to come.

These are a wonderful product for the money. Well made, and get the job done. There are certainly boots that are higher quality out there, but you wont be disappointed with these.

These boots are a huge upgrade from my previous pair. Good support. Pre-marked spots for installing studs and/or cleats. Boots feel solid and durable. Just what you would expect from Simms. I wear an 8 ½ EE size shoe and the size 9 boot is a perfect fit for me. The one improvement I would suggest would be to install a D-ring on the outer tongue of the boots for the gravel guards of the waders to hook on to. My wife’s Orvis boots have this and it really helps save wear on the laces that comes from from hooking the gravel guards to those.

I purchased these boots to replace a pair of old felt soles that I have fished in for many years. I do a lot of fishing in northern New Mexico, where sharp basalt rock is common in the stream beds so I was looking for something that would hold up over time. The reinforced toe and heel make the boot super resistant to wear and tear. You do pick up some weight as a result, but they are still comfortable and don't wear my legs out to much after a long day of wading and hiking. I normally wear a size 10 and followed the recommendation that Simms gives to size up. I am glad I did because the 11 fits perfectly with both my wading socks and Orvis Ultralights. Great purchase and would high recommend!

These are such a great wading boot for the price! Very heavy duty and sturdy. I also really like that the rubber bottoms allow for adding the hardbite cleats, which I also purchased. Can't beat the price and service!
