My favorite thing about these nippers is the location of the needle for clearing hook eyes.
The cutters, are okay for a few sizes of tippet. Small 7x and 6x or doesn't get all the way through and I have to pull it to break out. Too thick and it's hard to cut. Either save some money and go cheaper or save up more money and buy a different higher end brand.

I love these nippers. The size is just right. I also tried the new Simms PRO and it is too big in my opinion and it stays open too wide so it always catches on your gear or stabs you in the neck or chest if using a lanyard. These guide nippers are 1/2 the price of the new PROs so add the lanyard for the money you save :) Compact. Convenient. Sharp. Look great. Designed well. Eye cleanout. Perfect. My only gripe would be to bring back the other colors - blue and orange.

Splurged on a nice pair of nippers and these do not disappoint. They are built well and cut through line/tippet with ease. I also purchased the Simms lanyard (thank you ReelCash) as having them handy and secure is a must.
