Great little kit for extra piece of mind. I have been using laceless boots for well over a decade and will continue to only use BOA boots. *IF you have an issue with breaking they aren't as easy to tape up or fix if you are in the field. This kit is small and very lightweight and fixes your issue very quickly. (Can also be used with many other boot types with the same boa - ie ski boots, hunting boots etc) Great kit - fair price.

Both of my wire laces broke over the winter, so I had the choice of buying new boots or trying to repair the ones I already owned. I opted for the latter, and I'm glad I did!! The instructions provided by Simms only provided a series of pictures, and the pictures showed the kit as containing a part that wasn't in the pack, so that was confusing as well. Regardless of the less than perfect instructions, I managed to get everything fixed up--there are probably some helpful YouTube videos for this process, but I decided to be stubborn. Now I will get some extra service from my old boots!
