I like this more than your average retractor. It feels sturdy and it actually doesn't come unpinned after a few hours. My only complaint would be that my forceps are a little on the heavy side and sometimes they pull the cord out, but hey at least I haven't lost them yet!

My only complaint about these is that as I'm hiking/moving through water the plastic clasp will occasionally come out leaving my forceps just dangling. Otherwise works great.

I have had several of these retractors over the years and whilst I like the functionality with other Simms products, I sometimes find the quality a bit wanting. I have had the clasp come off the plastic component several times. If you are looking for a retractor that is going to last you for many years there may be better options around.

The retractor is a must-have if you are good at losing small fishing accessories. Even if you aren't a master loser, clipping your nippers to the retractor is incredibly convenient.
