I bought this a few months ago and have used it river fishing for trout and steelhead. I looked at a bunch of sling packs and settled on this one as a compromise between lightness and cargo room. For me, this pack hits that sweet spot fitting a couple fly boxes, shooting heads, lunch (ok, a small lunch) and a packable rain jacket. Packing water is a must, so the outside water bottle holder is ideal. Highly recommended.

I've been waiting for a sling bag that can carry a net not against the back with a water bottle pocket. So far I have a few trips with this bag and it hasn't disappointed. I can carry all my gear for a day on the water comfortably. The price is right also. Highly recommend.
