I've tried several wading staffs that I'm satisfied with, but this SIMMS wading staff is the best. Easy to assemble and easy to fold. Notably, you can store the wading staff folded in one shot with a molded case. I don't feel the hassle of putting it in and taking it out, so I use the wading staff more often, and I think I got an improvement in safety on the river.

I've had cheap wading staffs that did not last. You can really see and feel the difference in the quality of this staff! Easy to set up while on the water. Nice storage. Helps keep me from falling. Bought the rubber tip to go with it - which screws on rather than just presses on. Love this wading staff! Worth the price when you consider the quality!

Getting a bit older and knees aren't what they once were. The staff deploys and stows easily enough and seems fairly solid. The scabbard is a great fit. I bought the rubber end for it, no need to buy the retractor as some say.

This wading staff is easy to carry and attach to gear. It is very helpful in strong currents and/or when you need to probe in areas where the bottom isn't visible.

I did a lot of research before buying the new Simms Wading Staff. I was not disappointed. Takes two hands but locks solid, plenty strong, a great sheath that makes it easy to take out and insert back. The retractor is a plus as well. With the optional screw on rubber tip and being quality solid build - this wading staff should last a long time and work in all types of bottoms. Also ReelFlyRod Co. Is great to buy from, good prices, and exceptional customer service.

I really like how easy it is to deploy and break down. Much easier than my last staff. It also comes with a quality holster and a retractor. Love it!

This is a great wading staff. It has saved me from immersion several times. A must have particularly where felt soles are not allowed.

Just received this wading staff. Look nice and stout. Haven't used it yet, but reelflyrod "staff" was good to work with.
